Are you already using Brave as a web browser? If yes then you do not have to worry about an ad blocker, Brave browser blocks alls ads by default for you! Brave is currently the only browser that works by default as an ad blocker and helps avoiding annoying commercials, strange followers, ugly banners and skips video commercials on the internet! How awesome is that?[adsense]
What is the concept of the Brave Browser?
It gives the control of internet surfing back to the user. It strips and blocks online trackers and ads from websites and gives users the option to replace them with ads from its own network for which the users receives a payment in BAT tokens. BAT is a utility token that can be used as a unit of account between advertisers, publishers, and users in a new, blockchain-based digital advertising and services platform. The idea is the create a more sound privacy centred advertisement system in which everybody gets rewarded without compromising security and privacy. Brave users who agree to receive ads will be rewarded with BATs; the tokens can be passed too publishers as support for their sites and content.
Alternately, Brave envisions users trading their tokens for premium content or advanced site features. The BAT tokens can also be sold for Bitcoin on a crypto exchange for example.[adsense]
This private and anonymous third-party ad-replacement system will make the internet more secure and benefits everybody who participates. It will also generate an informed and vital debate regarding the problem of uncontrolled trackers and ad exchanges, which in the worst cases spread malware through unaware publishers.
The Brave servers neither see nor store browsing data – all data stays private, on the devices of the users, until the user deletes it. Brave won’t ever sell user data to third parties.
– Ad blocking
– Fingerprinting prevention
– Cookie control
– HTTPS upgrading
– Block scripts
– Per-site shield settings
– Configurable global shield defaults.
– Option to use DuckDuckGo for private window search
– Clear browsing data
– Built-in password manager
– Form autofill
– Control content access to full-screen presentation*
– Control site access to autoplay media
– Send “Do not track” with browsing requests
– Show secure or insecure site
All these features make the Brave Browser not only secure and private, but also very fast. Convincing people to sign up for the whole new ad-system is maybe one of Brave’s challenges, but using the fast and secure Brave Browser for automatically blocking ads is not! Firefox is also working on a similar concept, but for now you still have to use a plugin.
