Download the ultimate ad blocker now under the browser tab you prefer.
i configured my windows 10 pc to use adguard dns, also have adguard desktop software and ublock origin on browser. this is an overkill. i know.
Midori’s adblocker does not work with it. It hides 99% of the ads except banners.
I am using a selfhosted DNS over TLS PiHole behind a Traefik reverse proxy for TLS termination.
Using Vivaldi’s built-in adblocker. Works fine as for now.
Adblocker i made myself works perfectly!!!
LOL, keep dreaming
actually it’s not that difficult, you can easily create a local proxy with node. mine also use tensorflow to remove pictures with dogs and other lame animals.
Dogs and other lame animals? Haha dafuq are you a future serial killer?
I cast to my chromecast dongle from my chromebook with Adguard browser extension and Adguard DNS setup on my two laptops and I don’t get ads on TV from that method. If I watch YouTube app on the TV it shows every ad. I think using Adguard DNS on the router would fix most of that but I just don’t plan to use the app on the TV anyway so for me there’s no need.
Using adguard home with energized adblock filter. No ads!
Hi. You have to set it on a device that you would keep online 7/24. Than, you need to set your router DNS address as the ip of that device (eg ras-pi)
Yeah, until you try youtube on your smart tv…
If you try with the website YouTube, it should work.
PC user btw if it isn’t working.
The best way is to use the adblocker at the router level (or DNS level). Fortunately my router supports Diversion, so no ads in any of my devices connected to my home network. Forever.
Pi-Hole (Linux) and unbound with void zones (FreeBSD) are good alternatives too.
get brave
Ublock origin on firefox works better than a chromium skin.
Guess it works by intercepting and filtering all network traffic.
How adguard can run over network its a standalone package.
hi, just a quick question about the pfblocker could you block youtube ads with pfblocker thanks , if yes how do I need to download any list. thanks
pfSense+pfBlockerNG on a fitlet2. No more ad’s in a 30m radius around my house
I use Norton Ad Block.
Disable chrome’s website prediction setting.
I use ULTRA block extention and it works, i suggest people use it on chrome
I use Personal DNS filter with Energized basic, energized xtreme, GoodBye Ads ultra and I see no ads, I don’t use extensions for adblocking
Hi
I have got Adguard running on my network
This page proves that the Adguard works on Safari and Edge as expected however Chrome running on the very same machine as the other two browsers shows ad, very odd. Any thought?
Thanks in advance
Strange! Should be working on all the browsers. Did you restart every browser after installing the plugins? What could also help is clearing all browser cookies. Hope this helps!
Hi just tested my server for wireguard and pi-hole and it works I passed all the tests and thanks for this test
Thanks for this nice tutorial! I will definitely use it in the future!
Even after adding the list you suggest I was still having some runactive add so I tried the technique and uBloc pop a nice windows saying it has bloc the address an I add this on to the block site.
/trackingzen.com
And now its add free, without uBloc. There’s a nice “Request Journal” in uBloc origin to see what have been block so i will try these 2 technics next time.
Searching for pihloe list might be a good reflex so it block similar site.
Thanks Dirk and Dwayne_THE_TANK_Johnson

For Frank: One more thing on that site. (site removed due to spam by adblocker King)
Don’t use it, i tried it but every link you click on ,will forward to another crap site.
My pihole doesn’t accept any of them…….
Do you have experience in use ? Do not use a windows os for it….
Thanks Dirk, I removed the site from the comments.
Hi Frank,
Thanks for sharing! It was a nice test. With my pihole config, the same adverts.
(site removed due to spam by adblocker King)
i have found a solution! the source is polish stuff. Nothing wrong with polish ICT IT experts, there are many high skilled guys out there. However there are avert bots located there as well.
So, here we go:
-login to your pihole admin panel
-go to settings
-go to the tab blocklists.
-add a blocklist =>: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/MajkiIT/polish-ads-filter/master/polish-pihole-filters/kad_host.txt
-choose ‘save and update’
Problem solved!
handy method to find not working add providers in pihole:
POINT A:
-Just go to the site where you see an advert. Right click the advert ,and click ‘open in new tab’
-copy the domain name ,you’ll see printed in the URL.
-paste the domain in another tab in https://duckduckgo.com/ in your browser (or https://www.startpage.com/).
-type ‘pihole block …..(copied domain dns)’ and see if you can find blocklists containing that specific domain…
Changes are you do not succeed first try. In that case revisit the problem site,
where the add borders you. Click renew site. Usually the advert will change sources
to another add domain. Repeat all steps starting at ‘POINT A:’ in this mini tutorial.
Have fun!
If someone knows a stable working solution for youtube.com and pihole I love to hear it!
I blacklisted the following in pi hole (regex)
– extreme-down.ninja/xvideo.js
– inpagepush.com
– run-syndicate.com
– runative-syndicate.com
– ttspikbeglki.com
After that, the ads do not appear anymore even without uBlock Origin.
Try this (site removed due to spam by adblocker King)
The runactive part is stubern. Pihole won’t block I and to add uBlock Origin on Chrome PC to have them gone …
